The indestructible base


"Aro Ga'dzong means, in Tibetan, 'Stronghold of Joy, Tasting the Primordial A'. In Dzogchen meditation we visualise and sound the Tibetan syllable 'A' to connect with our essential enlightened nature. 'Ga' means joy, as in Garab Dorje, Thunderbolt of Joy, the name of the first incarnate teacher of Dzogchen. Above all the name pays tribute to the dignity and steadfastness of this house, and the ease of meditating here, directly with the beauty of the surrounding elements." - Ngala Rig'dzin Dorje & Tsal'gyür Wangmo.
